"The Borough will request that the Glen Rock Police Department hold off on enforcing this ordinance for the time being, but many complaints have been received from both residents and realtors showing local homes and residents are asked to please respect the code," Glen Rock's website says.

The code states, "One stationary non-illuminated political sign not exceeding five square feet in area, which said sign, including support, shall be placed no less than 15 feet from any street or property line, and said sign, if mounted on a post, shall not exceed four feet in height, inclusive of the post to which said sign is attached."

"Thus, any sign closer to the road, especially signs between the sidewalk and the street violate borough code and are subject to removal," according to the statement on the borough's website.
